Mālie-chan arrived today! Israel Leinbach (on picture) designed and carved her. He used the local woods of mango and lychee – “She is very fruity”, he said.
We are so excited to have her with us, and a big thank you to Israel for doing such a great job!
She now welcomes everyone who enters Baumkuchenfarm. This beautiful wooden girl with a plate of freshly baked Baumkuchen cakes is right at the entrance to our farm.
Mālie is a Hawaiian girl name. It means “calm” and “peaceful” in Hawaiian.
